Lights come on, clicking, no start.

Ok, on my way to the bank, stopped in to get money. I return to the car, get in, put key in try to start the car. Doesn't work. All the lights are on, my clutch is fully depressed, not in a gear, brake on. I then try letting off the clutch and doesn't work either; depress clutch and then I get an extra click noise. Try putting in gear, nothing. The lights dim a little bit when I try to start the car. Battery is new and reads 12 volts. Has one of my wires come off or something?

Jiggle the ignition switch...could be a lazy contact.

Also try jumpering the wire on the solenoid that comes from the ignition switch to see if this is the trouble. To do this, put a wire across the solenoid from the 1/4" male spade connector to the large nut where the battery power comes to. *SAFETY: make sure the car is in neutral, parking brake set or wheels choked*

Tried jiggling the switch but that didn't really do anything. Haven't tried to jump the starter yet since it's stormy. The battery connections I just bought maybe a month ago when it did start normally. Cleaned them anyway and that didn't do much either.
My clock keep the time, resets to 1:00 every time I start, open the door, or turn on the interior lights (they don't work though).
