Lightening: Step 2

As part of the general TLC/Maintenance overhaul I just performed on my T2 (in preparation for my upcoming mods), I also removed my un-needed accessories which included: my air pump, a/c, ps, stereo, spare tire, and a few minor things. My question: how can I lighten the car further? I do not want to throw the weight distribution off a whole lot, and I'd like to keep my comfy leather seats for now as well . Thanks in advance...

Get racing seats, that will take a few pounds off. Move the battery into the bin behind the passenger seat (I'm doing that this week probably) It won't lighten the car, but it will get 40lbs of ballast between the wheels instead of hanging out on the nose. Remove rear wiper and washer tank if you want (I'm gonna do this soon, they don't work on my car anyway, I might relocate and rewire the rear tank and use it to spray water on my IC) If you don't want to strip the interior, you can learn to fabricate carbon fiber and make new interior trim from it

I posted a reply, but accidentally did it under a new thread. See "diet plan".
