Question Lightened Rotors, ...I searched.

I'm sure everyone has seen the RB lightened rotors in their catalog or online. Anybody have any experiences? I have closely examined their methods and believe I can do this myself, for free, being an experienced machinist, working in a shop, with access to CNC equipment.

hmm, i've seen a few threads on this before. It seems the conclusion they came to was that the cost was never worth what you got in the end.

IF you could machine lightened rotors, i would be EXTREMELY impressed.

Machined Rotors, Did that.

Unfortunatly, they are for an N/A. I just purchased a '91 turbo II motor Iwant to use instead. Just wondering if it is worth the trouble again. Here something to chew on . The rotors I machined had bad apex seal grooves, so Iwelded them up! I pre-heated the rotor to 500 degrees annd TIG weelded the worn edge with a very thin bead. I then hand worked the outside to blend with the contour and ground the apex seal groove back to spechs using a surface grinder with avery thinly dressed wheel.
