light flywheel bennafits?

alright guys .. heres another question .... would having a lighter flywheel make for better gas milage?... now im not looking in terms of huge numbers but maby like 1 mpg or so ?.... lemme know what ya think .. or know

No. The difference it would make in fuel economy (not having to spin up as much flywheel) would be a fraction of a mile per gallon, if it could even be measured at all.

It would also depend on the kind of driving you do. In terms of increasing the RWHP there are diminishing returns depending on the gear. There's a pretty significant increase in first and second gears, but it's fairly small after that. In other words, in higher gears there's little in the way of potential fuel economy gains.
