lets play a game called name that part and what it connects too

Thank you for joining us here today....Lets play Name that part and what it connects too(I know its a catchy game show name). Ok I dont have a pic yet(will take one if no one knows what Im talking about). It is on the firewall right behind the soft j bend ic to tb rubber connector. Its the only lines that go vertical attached to the firewall. There is one that goes completely vertical up and down(hard black lines) and in the middle it has a black splitter and one side keeps straight toward the windshield and another metal nipple is at a 45 degree angle and is copper. it has nothing attached to it and my question is should it?? Where does it go and whats it for?? The line thats vertical has hard lines to and from the splitter but this 45 bent nipple has nothign attached. i didnt even know it was there till I took off my tb and tmic. Anyone know what Im talking about. i checked the fsm and could not figure it. IF no one knows Ill take a pic but help me out here guys.
