let play a game!!

lets play a game called, can u find where the wire goes? while taking my tranny off a removed a wire with a round metal gromit on the end. i thought it came off the starter bolt, maybe a ground for something. so when i went back to put it together, the bolt wouldnt fit through the gromit. its a black wire that come out of the wire bundle that sits right about the bell housing. the end has a small black cube with the metal washer looking thing on it. any ideas? is it a ground or power or what?

I could use a little more decription or even a picture but that sounds like the risister for the oil pressure sensor. On most 7's it is bolted to one of the clutch slave bolts.

thats pretty much the best description i can give and sadly i dont have a digi cam so i cant take a pic. um.... i obviously did take the slave off so maybe it came off of there, that would basically be just a ground then right? i mean as long as it is bolted to something metal it shouldnt matter to much?

Yep some times it was not put there but generaly it was. Just ground it somewhere near the oil presure sensor on the motor or transmission. Or just use the slave bolt

It usually bolts to the slave cyclinder, believe it or not it is a radio resistor, very worthless!!!
