Angry Left Turn Signal Flasher Not Working

I own an 89 GXL, and i have a problem with the left turn signal flasher. Although my right turn signal works flawlessly, my left clicks rapidly but the lights do not flash. Is the flasher inside the CPU and can it be replaced or repaired?

The flasher is in the CPU, but I would first check the easy things. Make sure both bulbs are good, clean out the sockets (they corrode). If that doesn't do it, remove the CPU and do a resolder. Sounds like the problem is specific to the left signal connections, so it is most likely just a bad solder joint.

Naw... it is probably the flasher... if it where me, and I have done this before for both my car and a buddies. go down to the wrecking yard, and get the flasher. turn on the signal the relay should click, crawl down under the dash and pull the plastic off on the drivers side. it is a little black rectangular box. the flasher circuit is inside, either replace it with the new one, or pull the flasher circuit board out and swap 'um. this is a pretty come thing for 7's
