Question LED Brake lights?

So has anybody done this to the tails? It seems like it would be a good mod. Brighter tail lights and a lower current draw. Which is great for our FC alts

And then I searched. Opps.

However, didn't see any mention of putting them in the hi mounted light.

Inspired by that article, I bought a bunch of very bright LED's and resistors to do the high-stop light, but haven't quite gotten around to doing it yet.

I was attracted by the low current draw, so I bought 5 kinda cheap led lights (1156/57). I ended up putting only two of them in, and keep the others as is because they are not bright enough. That was some time ago, maybe they make better ones now. In any case, that still reduced the current draw.

I would reccommend using a voltage regulator provide the voltage to the LED lights. This will give you a consistent brightness level, and protect the LEDs from overvoltage.
