At least we didn't spend over $25k for our FCs!

At least we didn't spend over $25k for our FCs!

I'm in the middle of tuning my wife's Acura TL and went to their forum for help: www.acura-tl.com

Since most of the members are still under warranty they bring their cars to the dealership for all maintenance. My wife's TL is out of warranty. I just wanted to point out to you guys with all the quirky 2nd gen problems that our 7 problems are a LOT less expensive, easier to fix and nowhere near as problematic as the Acura line.

It seems the TL S-type has a tranny problem, complete failure, and the owners are making Acura buy them back! These guys don't even know how to pull error codes! One reply said, "Stop messing with your car, bring it to the delership!" My wife's next car is not going to be an Acura…maybe an RX8!

Hope that makes you guys feel a little better about your cars.

B

You know that stories like that just re-affirm my opinion that the FC is the best sports car bargain out there.

Sure people complain about that something may need re-soldering or a broken this or leaking that, but chances are they paid less than $5000 for the car anyway. Paying 5 times that (and for a Honda even)doesn't mean the car is any better.

Honda seems to have a problem with auto trannies. I've been around lots of Civics and Accords that **** their transaxles seemingly at will.

I think its a close race between Mazda and Honda for the worst auto transaxles
