leaking coolant

ok, it will only lead if driving for a long time and shutting it off and letting cool down there will be a bit of coolant on the ground. went under the car and couldnt see it leak , or feel a leak. I can fill up the radiator and filler neck and after driving it open the filler neck and wont be much in ther at all. plus its realy hot the hole hose. and all. I have the thermostat replaced twic one by me and the last time around december at a show with a pressure check and radiator flush. all was good. This starter happening ever sence i got my last oil change. could just be a coincident.

buzzer ( coolent ) comes on for a few second afte starting the car and then goes off.
temp guage stays at half way.

half way mark is normal for my car has always been there sence i have owned the car. Got from a mazda mechanic here locally with a rebuilt engine in it. has always been at half way mark.

any one got some solutions.

instead of block weld, is there something not as sever that I can just put into the coolant that will perhaps fix a small leak?

thanks for any help.

at cold start in the morning very light whit smoke for about asecond comes out the pipes, and thats wiht 2.5 pipes all the way back with one hight flow cat so i dont think it burning coolant but i gues i could be wrong.

any input?

You can have your coolant system pressure tested and find the leak. Must easier and safer to do that trying to find a leak over a hot engine. Also I wouldnt recommend block weld to fix a small leak. If you are getting the low coolant buzzer on start up it's most likely an air bubble(s) in your system so you need to bleed it. The way block weld works is that when it comes in contact with air it kinda clumps together and sticks. Imagine if you put block weld in your coolant system and you have air bubbles? Get the point? Also block weld will coat everything in your coolant system.

With the engine hot, look around with a high power flashlight for glistening at the ends of coolant lines. There are a few places that commonly leak.

On the driver's side of the engine directly under the oil filter, there's a coolant line coming from the firewall. It gets regularly drenched with oil during oil changes, and will leak from the engine side.

Under the throttle body. There are a few coolant lines under there feeding the cold idle setup, and if they leak, it's hard to find. Look under the throttle body from the driver's side and look for a wet pool of something on top of the engine.
