leak?
I just got my 87 non turbo about a month and a half ago, and i am fairly new to the rx7 world. There is a coolent purge valve on the drivers side twards the firewall... I am not sure if this is what is causing the leak or not.
Does every rx7 have this valve? It is leaking on the drivers side twards where the spark plugs are...
Thanks!
also leaking a good amount of oil twards the rear of the oil pan, should i just tighten the screws or replace the gasket?

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Tightening the oil pan bolts generally results in broken off heads of the bolts. If it is leaking the gasket needs to be replaced.
And I am not sure what you are saying about a coolant purge valve. Could you be confusing this with a heater valve???
It is not uncommon however to have the heater hose (that goes from under the oil filter/sender to the fire wall and heater core) to get oil soaked and start leaking. Could your leak be there??? if so- replace the hose asap.

i wasnt sure if it came stock with the car. it looked like an aftermarket part. what it looks like is you take off this cap and hook a hose to it and take out the plug on your radiator and you flush your coolent that way. and that is where the coolent is leaking. i figured that out. it was a bad clamp.
