They do stand for Leading and Trailing, I think he was just showing you how he personally keeps it straight in his mind.

 

So kind of related, what is a fair price for a used but working full leading and trailing coil set? I have a local friend with some, and for the right price I'd buy them up whether I need them or not, and for a higher price I might buy them if I need them down the road. I ask because from Advance the pair would cost over $1000, even with my ~10% discount. That's really steep, to say the least.

 

Check the for sale section and do a search for "coils" or something along those lines.
