leading coils not sparking
my trailing coils work just fine... but i cant get any spark from the leading coils what causes this if i can get multiple ideas would be great...........its a 87 fc N/A help please
Did you verify that the B/Y wire at the white plug connecting to the coil has battery voltage with the key to on?. It probably does since that particular wire feeds the trailing as well. Is the leading coil mounted to its bracket and that the bracket is properly mounted to the fender? This is how the unit gets its ground. If not grounded properly it wont work/fire.
Me aswell.
Here is what I've done: New wires, plugs, (new to me) coil pack, and fuses. I've tested the main relay and that didn't work.
Some think it could somehow be the thermo switch, I don't know, I'm not a mechanic.
Where is our salvation?

wtf is a thermo switch? check your connections to the pcm, sounds like your coils aren't getting signal to fire.
