RE-Amemiya does. Just not really cheap, uber expensive more like it. Also they lose a defining quality in that the lights are now set and do not move with the RE kit.

i was thinkin i might cut my front bumper from where the tip of the headlight covers touch it to the top of the day time running lights. then i would have a big open area where my lights could shine from. then i figured i could cover this big hole with a sheet of plexi glass or sumthin.

Why post if your not going to bother answering the question. Nor was it a opininated intention, just a simple "How do you do it?".

Its like if your friend wanted to marry a ugly chick and was asking you how to propose to her and you said

"Well shes butt ugly".

Some bitches just need to stfu in my OPINION
I realize my post may seem unconstructive, but really sometimes silence is better than voicing your opinion when not asked for.

That's not entirely true.

The RX-7 community is fairly defensive, so we will do what it takes to stop people performing stupid and ugly modifications on their cars. Perhaps if all the kids who want to do this realise that they'll be ridiculed by other 7 owners, they'll change their mind.

Dude, just b/c you think they look dumb doesnt mean you're the only one thats right. as i said for me, i keep it down, and put lazy eyes when we do a dori session. To me, it enhances the feel of it, not performance wise but its a kind of style. Just because you think theyre ugly no ones gonna follow you. people are entitled to what they think looks good.

You are absolutely right. Now go and read the countless other threads on this topic filled with posts from people who feel the same as me. Some of those threads even have instructions!
To me, it enhances the feel of it...

all you ppl that have just negative things to say just get the **** out, his question was "Does anyone know how to do this with there car easy" not give me your personal opinion on lazy eyes.

as far as the question goes. there is a pivot control unit you can get that allows you to control how high your headlights go. I havent tried it yet but will soon, it cost around 80 US i think

NZConvertible: Stop acting like a ****** jackass and leave if thats goin to be your attitude. If you dont like the lazy eye mod and dont know how to do it then why are yopu even here?

As soon as you've contributed to this site as much as NZ has, then you can call him out.

Welcome to THE INTERNET. It can be a harsh and brutal mistress. Obviously the whole sleepy eyes thing is a fad for kids. If you don't believe me, go look at the average age of everyone who thinks this a good idea(it's about 18). NZ is just saying aloud what everyone is going to think when they see your car like this. IMHO, he's doing you a favor. Go back and read the first post in this thread, the guy calls his fellow local car "enthusiasts" ricers. That means he had this coming. That's all.

I'll try to remember that NZ IQ is higher then mine because his post count for outnumbers mine.

So, how exactly can you say I don't have a right to argue when you just lead off to the reality of the internet, and ifferent opinions.

Doing us a favor like how parents ragged on us for listening to our musicl. No matter what generation your from you know what I mean.

Its not rice. Its a change because with time comes change. This board is so wrapped up on being anti rice that it forgets that some people like things we may not like.

Tired of that. Be open minded, why should I give a damn if this guy does sleepy eyes. Will it keep NZ up late at night, will he have cold sweats and blisters?

There is no compelling reason to put this guy down, and treat him like so.

Thats just my opinion.

I do know how to do this (several ways in fact) because I've read the countless other threads on this topic. These can all be found by searching. Why am I here? To share my knowledge, learn new things, and hassle people doing this mod.

I don't remember anyone mentioning intelligence, only knowedge (which has nothing to do with post count).

Who cares what's "rice"? Most (but not all) people here think it's ugly, that's all. It destroys the cars lines and makes the headlights look broken. Can you come up with any sensible reason why it looks good?

Who's put him down? Calling a mod ugly is not putting someone down. You should learn the difference before you come on a public forum where people express their opinions.

- The intelligence thing wasn't response wasn't directed to you

- Can you give me a good reason why anything looks good?

- And I'm more talking about the general forum putting people down.

I'd have to agree with NVC on this one. He has his own right to hassle people about this mod because he thinks it is stupid. Hell, it does look stupid. But like you will undoubtedly point out, that is simply my opinion.
If you want non-functioning lights that are halfway up and make people do a double take simply because they think your lights are broken.. be my guest.

First of all when I was in Puerto Rico it wasn't 18 y/o's doing the sleepy eye effect It was most owners unless they did some other mod to the lights. And destroy the cars lines ???? First of all having the light come up that high destroys the sleek look of the car, which is why most, if not all, prefer the fixed lights. Now it is true that it makes the lights look broken to most people, and it removes w.e visibility the lights give but if he wants to do it o well. The truth is that if there is a way to make the light to sit at a lower level and have the same visibility I would do it, as will other people. And like I said if anything destroys the cars lines it nothing more than those headlights rising what appears to be a foot from the hood.

Yeah, but you only raise the lights at night, and because you have to (unless you want to spend a bucket of money). At least they look like they're meant to be there.

Voluntarily jacking them up all the time is a totally different matter.

i dont know if this is good to do or not, but with my 91, i pulled the plugs to disconnect the headlight motor (while they were down) and then underneath the car, you will find a small screw like thing with a rubber bushing/cover over it. if you remove this rubber cover, you can manually adjust your headlights.... make sure that you re-adjust them to where they were b4 reconnecting the headlight motor.

hey NZ, if you're really not into the drift scene, then be quiet. I dont rag on ther kinds of motorsports and what they do to their cars. Lazy eyes is a drift thing for me, and i put it up when i drift, and yea it enhances my feeling towards the car, me and my 240 friends drift with our lazy eyes, its just our thing that we do. Why dont you go rag on the pro drifters that have lazy eyes and laugh at them because they have em on their cars.

thats intersting that u dont seem to like popup lights. the only reason that you pop them up is because u dont have alot of money.. sux to be u. but me personally i like popup lights. cars from this era are arguably some of the best cars out there (for there price). i put sleepy eye (its sleepy eye damnit) on my 89 prelude wen i was 16 or 17. yes it is a mod for kids. but i left it on my car, and mess with it every once in a while. but nun the less it is a JDM mod that is very cheap so many ppl want to do it. o and i realize that im not worthy NZ haha. sho em my moto - "cant deny the sleepy eye" ben saying it for years and it still stands now.
back to work
