MtnRacer 03-05-04 03:50 PM

It's called "sleepy eyes." Now that you are armed with this knowledge, go forth, and searcheth(but put oneth flam suit firsteth).

...

Did you just call the people AROUND you ricers?

Steve

JDM3 03-05-04 03:52 PM

no i didnt call the people on here ricers, but i am surrounded here(where i live) with ricers

Sorry i herd it called lazy eyes sorry

cwsttu 03-05-04 03:53 PM

dont do the sleepy eye "lazy eye" cause all it does is makes the car look broken imo... but hey if it floats your boat do it... just pull the plug when the lights go up or down and they will stop in that position till you put the fuse back in.. but like i say people will just think they are broken if they are only halfway up

MtnRacer 03-05-04 03:54 PM

Lol, that's what I meant. Did you just call the people where you live ricers? Because there is no bigger rice mod than sleepy eye headlights!

Steve

cwsttu 03-05-04 03:54 PM

and by plug i meant to say fuse

JDM3 03-05-04 04:01 PM

ight it looks good on some car like 240 and i dont think its rice but that my op but i am not going to do it i like it the way it is, my beast of a 80's japanese car one of the best in the 80's second gen

blaster834 03-05-04 04:18 PM

yeah. i used to like it when nobody was doing it, but now all the other f**kin kids at my school are doing it and now i F*ckin hate it.

totallimmortal 03-05-04 05:54 PM

there is a white plug in under the hood in front of your headlights one on each side its round, unplug that and then crank them up manually rfom underneath, thats done by a white know it may still have the black rubber covers on the knob. theres how to do it but i agree looks not the best

SirCygnus 03-05-04 06:04 PM

no one has them here in ga. i havent seen a car here yet with them on.

:werd: you might as well take a bat and give yourself the "hanging mirror" look!

The guy asked a simple question, you don't have to like his ideas but at least give him the right to ask his question without beein bashed for it, the knight sport kit is a form of lazy or sleepy eye only it looks alot cooler than stock with half open headlights, but regardless he asked how to do it so if you don't want to tell him how then chill

drft_180sx 03-06-04 07:33 AM

Actually, even if you think it looks like crap on the 240sx, there is a functional use for it on the 240sx, it serves as an intake inlet, and besides to each his own. I just wonder if it can server as an air intake inlet on the FC.

remember the thread with the new idea of the ftp lense removal for air intake inlet, maybe this is a possibility????

dorifc3s 03-06-04 10:22 AM

yea it looks broken to normal people but to drifters and car guys it looks hot.

BTW, detailed pics how to.

totallimmortal 03-06-04 11:32 AM

i'm pretty sure it doesn't do much for air intake on and FC if you look behind the headlight and FTP lense its pretty solid metal behind it

There are far more effective and better looking ways to get air to the inlet.

No it can't.

Actually it's a very old idea that doesn't work.

Why? Do drifters just have really bad taste? And what's it got to do with drifting?

casio 03-06-04 04:36 PM

drifters and car guys.. so what is everyone here?? this aint a place for tea parties.

Rued 03-06-04 04:36 PM

If its not your car don't worry about it. When you start paying for his car payments and what not then you can start bitching about his car. Until that day respect others opinion.

he merely voiced his opinion on the subject. I'm sure NZ could care less if desecrates the 7 like this.

JDM3 03-06-04 06:03 PM

who me i am 18

dorifc3s 03-06-04 06:49 PM

hey its drift style, some people prefer it some dont. personally i dont give a shit if it gives efficient air in the engine bay.

normally i have it on, when i go on Dori sessions i have it off.

as u can see from the pics of the install they are on.

oregano 03-06-04 07:53 PM

ok, most of us realize by know how dumb the sleepy eyes look. maybe we liked them at one point in time, i know i did at first for a few days, but now we have matured and realized our mistakes. is there any other cheap and easy way to keep the headlights down, look decent, and still have functional lights?
