lateral link installation fees?

i was going to have my lateral link installed by a friend but i decided to check for installation prices at pro shops. with me supplying the link, charges ranged from 100 to 120. is this reasonable because it sounds a bit steep. they told me they have to take off the ball joint and check for other bends.

if i took it to my local mech (who's a friend of mine and will do it for free), is there going to be any really tricky parts to installing a new link?

btw i bent the link by sliding into a corner too fast and hitting an island. what are the chances of there being something else bent?

oh, i got the impression that "taking out a ball joint" was something tricky and would cost 100 bucks to do. hah

ah ok i read your write-up. i do have a question though. your write-up is mostly for changing out the boots, right? if i just needed to swap lateral links, i can just unbolt the two bolts, swap out links and bolt it back in, right?

yeah that has info on installing and uninstalling thats why I pointed you to it. Just unbolt old and put in new, but you wanna remove the endlink or endlinks for sway bar to get it back in with new one.
