headlight problem

I took my car out from storage yesterday and i hooked up the battery and the passenger headlight went up i checked the switch and the switch was off so i tried switching it on and the other one went up and the one that was up went down any ideas

A relay on the headlight circuit, I'd guess. You haven't done anything to your headlights, right?

i have not touched them the only thing i did was i disconnected the switch on the instrument bezel and hooked it back up

Get out your voltmeter, trace wires, etc. Perhaps you plugged a motor/sensor in backwards.
