last exhaust question ill ever ask

i have an S5 n/a with a street port...

i am looking into the racing beat single to dual system. my questions:

1) this will work well with a street ported n/a, and actually increase hp?
2) will my 5/6 ports continue to work? (i am keeping the air pump for that reason, but i dont know what to do about the split air pipe?)
3) keep the cats? or can i switch my cats with the presilencer when emissions time comes around?

thanks a lot.

1) yes, and yes
2) yes, a s5 uses the airpump to operate them, the exhaust doesn't have a role
3) use the presilencer, and swap in a cat when needed, however there might be laws that if a police officer finds out you don't have a cat on (during a traffic stop/etc) you might be in trouble.

1) Yes
2) Yes. The split air pipe is for S4's only.
3) The gains from an exhaust are almost nullified if you keep the cats on there. The major restirction you're trying to remove by putting on an aftermarket exhaust is the cats.

now are there any negatives (**** emissions) to opening up the cats? i dont want to foul up a fresh rebuild / SP because of an exhaust
