I'm about to put the engine back in and can't figure out where line #1 goes,

#2 goes to the block, but there's nothing anywhere for #1. The FSM doesn't show that section very well and the haynes is the same drawing

Why don't you do the throttle body mod while the motor is out of the car??
That will eliminate line #2.

I can't tell from your picture, but I think #1 goes to the brake booster?

Whoa there! I can't believe someone has the good sense to leave the throttle body complete. Congratulations.

Yes, it's for the brake booster hard line located on the chassis. Should be a metal line, pointing straight down opposite where that number one line is shown in the picture. The line in the picture needs to be rotated counterclockwise from where it is shown in the picture. Approx ninty degrees so the open end points straight up to mate with the chassis metal line.

I have too many other projects to do, I want to make sure this engine *runs* then I'll consider the TB mod. It's pretty low on my priority list right now.

Thanks for the info! that explains why there is nothing on the manifold to hook it to
The engine is up on the hoist and ready to go back in, I was stuck until I figured out where that thing went.
