Whats up Indra, I see youre basically next door to me
I dont know what the largest wheel width is but I have 17" 235's in the back and 17" 215 up front. My wheels are 17x7s up front and 17x8s in back. I hope this gives you some idea for largest wheels. I have no rubbing problems with these. What does your fc look like? Maybe I've seen you around. Check my sig for my car and maybe you will recognize it. Peace!

I run 17X8 offset +5 with 215/45 tires in the front and 17X9 offset +22 with 235/45 tires in the rear.

You should be able to run up to a 225 tire in the front and 255 in the rear.

There is a significant wieght incress when you step up over the 16" mark. unless you have a really strong engine you will slow down your times at the strip.

IMO, 17" wheels make the car handle better. Im sure people will disagree but thats just my opinion. I had 16" wheels b4 with some falken Azenis (love those tires) and the car handled well. With the 17" wheels and lower profile tires, it seems like the car is "crispier" and reacts better. I dont know what Indra is going to use his car for, so we really cant say whats better for his application.

Instead of typing a reply like that, why dont you do a search for him and paste a link. Judging by the number of posts he has, I dont think he knows about the search function. I dint know that feature was there when I first joined. So cut him some slack.

I got 225/50/16s on the stock TII rims and they fot fine. You can go bigger than 215s on those 8s Ranzo if you wanted to. Anyone have anything bigger than like 245s in the back? I would love to see and fc with some 275s

yes I used to run bigger tires on the front and back but I don't like the handling characteristics and as low as my car is I have experienced rubbing problems. The back is not a problem really though, I used to always run 255's

I think you will have problems with it rubbing. If im not mistaken the smaller the offset the further out it would sit from the suspension.

so a +22 on the front would put the wheel hitting your shock or spring.

Ranzo,

are you running any spacer in the rear?

an I have not heard of a wheel that is
17X8 +5 do you mean 17X8+35?

I have ordered Enkei RP-F1 wheels and Advan A048 Tires

Enkei RP-F1
front:17X8 +35offset/114.3-5 & ADVAN A048 225/45-17(M) 2pcs
rear:17X9 +35offset rear/114.3-5 & ADVAN A048 255/40-17(M) 2pcs

they said if I need to change the offset I need to let know by this comming monday.

can I run a 17X9 +35offset rear with no spacer?

or do I need 17X9 +22 offset rear?

do you have pictures of your car so I can see how the 9 inch wheels compair to the fender?

Thanks

Tony

soulassasin runs a 275/17 out back on a custom rim and I believe 225's up front. PM him and he can tell you of the offset he has. He runs a 17x9 rim I'm nearly positive.

I run stock '89-91 T2 rims with 205's up front and 245's out back. 16" tires are much cheaper to begin with. I plan to run a 225 up front once these wear out. But when you get a free pair from your neighbor of 70% tread left 205 Potenza S-02's you just smile and use them.

If you want some meats on the car order Mariah Motorsports flared front fenders ($500 per pair) and then you will be able to run 255/17's up front and either 255's out back or 275's if you figure out the offset from soul assassin.

Are those the bolt on overfenders or is it a complete replacement for the whole fender?
