larger stock mazda afm/ maf's?
i have heard that similar year 929's turbo 626/ 323's and millinia-s cars have a larger plug and play afm. it affects your fuel curve a bit but a safc will clear that up.
im wondering if this is true and if so what other downsides there are.
thanks guys

The downsides are that as far as I know no one has ever gotten such a swap to work, ever. So you'd be on your own to make it work.
A better option would be to get a standalone that works without the airflow sensor and get rid of the restriction alltogether. The Megasquirt does that and can be had for under $500 and will give you more performance and tuning options than your plan. When you compare that to the cost of a new AFM and an SAFC plus the time and effort to make it work (if it ever can be made to work), the choice is clear.
