its too rice... serves no pratical purpose. adds wieght to an already heavy car. and they still dont work like real lambo doors... you have to push them out a lil bit like a normal door then they come up.. CHEESY. too poserish for my taste and i always wonder what would happen in a short parking garage.... ferrari doors huh? i thought all ferraris were regular or gullwing...

i think those doors look great. Buddy does have a point though about weighing down your car but if you don't care i say go for it.

It's all about your personal style. If you like them then get them. I can't say I like them. The videos I've seen and the ones I've seen in person require that the driver practically roll out of the car. It's kind of rediculous. The doors just don't give you enough clearance to stand up straight since they were not designed to funtion that way.

The RX-8 weighs just 200lbs more, has a back seat and rear doors - The FC should have been lighter: a 13b in a 2200lb car (like a crx weight) would show rotary goodness.

I kind of like the look and our doors are long so it's somewhat useful.
Track wise it adds weight which means I don't like it.
It's also got the, "I wish I had a lambo" look to it which would mean you're not happy with your FC.

The metals used and available these days that are on the RX8 are servierly lighter then the metals used in the 80s and on the FC.

I was wondering the same thing, have the doors welded at the top to the roof and actually have the hinges in the middle of the roof. Ofcourse I'm dreaming out my a$$.

Lambo doors do look kinda ricey, just not my style. But if someone does put them on their car, it better have 400hp or it would be like a widebody kit on a stock FC with huge rims it doesn't even need.

gullwing doors would need to be made of a lightweight material, there is no way to reiforce the door or roof enough to support the weight of the stock doors plus hiding the hydraulics would be a pita.... i like having my sunroof.

hinges and tube steel and 1/4" thick steel plates. the kits that come with just hinges are as cheesey as they come and will stress fracture the door frame.

250lbs...yeah right.

My .02: If your going for some type of cliche show car, then go with the kit. If you want to go fast, focus your time/money else where.
