Lacking top end

Ok my car is a S5 vert with 5k on a stock rebuild. My problem is that when i'm driving I have little power before 3k (which I think is due to the removal of the airpump and 5th and 6th port actuators being open)and around 4-5k i'll get a little punch but after that it just whines and really doesnt go anywhere. I think it may be my secondaries but i'm not sure. Anyone else have any ideas?

Well, I'd assume by your 'name', that you've got a S5, which means your VDI isn't going to be working either without the airpump. Why exactly did you remove it? Any other modifications beyond this?

I didnt remove anything off the motor. I had the rebuild done and the guy told me he had removed the airpump and i assumed he opened the 5th and 6th ports. Only other mods are cone intake and racing beat header w/ custom exhaust (still have cat)

Well, I'd say a combo of non-functioning aux ports as well as VDI would be part of the cause. I'd go check your aux ports and see which way they're 'wired' (if at all), not sure what you can do with the VDI short of fitting some kind of pump on there.
