Koyo rad troubles

Exclamation Koyo rad troubles

I have a 1988 vert na, I just bought a koyo rad for it and it didn’t have the mounting brackets do I have to cut off the side piece from the oem rad?

The mounting brackets should unbolt from the stock radiator. Then you can bolt them to the Koyo.

then i don’t think I have an oem there is no bolt unless it’s hidden

An OEM radiator bracket is pretty obvious to identify, as the brackets are steel.

Those radiators are not of stock design and Koyo assumes that some mods have been done to the car. Been through this years ago, just wanted a stock replacement but when it arrived and installation started it was a mess. Needed to return one and the next model they sent out wasn't a factory fit, so I'm just sorry I didn't purchase an OEM rad.
Curious, which model did you purchase?

Classifieds/eBay/junkyard. Good luck, they're difficult to find.

FYI the S4 and S5 brackets are different. Select the brackets that match the radiator you purchased. You can modify them by elongating the mounting holes, but avoid that labor if you can.
