aluminum radiator install Q's
Recently after some stock radiator problems I decided to upgrade to an aluminum radiator for my 88' NA FC.
I ordered a koyo radiator for a early naturally aspirated FC.
I got the radiator quite a while ago, and finally got around to making the swap.
I pulled the radiator out, and took the new radiator and put them next to each other to compare. The aluminum radiator is taller, was only 2 mounting screws on what would be the rear of the radiator that look like they attach to the shroud, and absolutely nothing to mount it to the car with on the sides.
Is there some critical fact that I'm missing here, or do you think they sent the wrong radiator? I have pictures of the radiator I'll upload as soon as I find a site to host them on.

Ok, that might be the problem, I think the person I got the car from put one of those shitty non OEM replacement radiators in because the brackets are welded onto the radiator I took out of the car... well, off to look for some stock brackets =/

i was in the same boat so i took the and shitty rad and chizeld the brackets off of it there is only one spot weld at the top and bottom so it took like 2 min to get them off the i flated the ends out until they bolted up to the koyo rad its realy easy to do just make sure you dont strip the threads on the clip nuts that the koyo has on the top and bottom its really easy to strip them

I didn't have the brackets either so I just got a $5 piece of sheet metal and cut four brackets. Its was pretty easy, I just cut 4 "L" shaped pieces with one bend in each. If you have a band saw you could knock these out real quick, I did it with a hacksaw and it still didn't take too long. Good luck.
