ive installed a set of knightsports coilovers, and now i hear a wierd kind of knocking noise from rear, and no its not my diffrential mounts, and i doubt its my bushings... so what else can it be?

whennnn i run over small bumps, i jacked up the car and checked the bolts that i took out and put back in during coilover install, they are all tightened to torque specs and they should be good..

 

it could be a u-joint in one of the halfshafts

 

the top strut mounts usually have some slack in them with aftermarket shocks and springs and is probably what is causing the noise. the RR strut is usually the main cause, if you remove the strut and it has some play in the strut top mount then you could try shimming them with some washers but i really just live with it as it is a minor clunk now and then. modifying them can cause long term bushing wear issues.

 

minor clunk now and then? it sounds like my wheels going to roll off on me lol
