good call, glad you guys can handle yourselves without me for a few weeks.

the power steering sends a signal through that wire when turning, which is why it only hesitates when cornering. wish this would get stickied for those JDM swap cars that still haven't figured out this quite common issue.

Yea a sticky is not a bad idea. I never knew this was a must with the swap. My fault for not searching thoroughly enough but none the less. Fixed. And yea rotaryevolution you are the master! Glad your back to deal with idiots like me haha

My first swap my throttle cable was to tight,vi had to spray brake clean in my AFM to get started and and swapped around the Fuel lines 3 times till it ran.

wow Ive been running a swap since 2006
and I don't recall if I ever cut the r1 wire, I havnt noticed any issues when turning... hmm might have to check and see if it is doing it though

If your car didn't come with powersteering you won't notice it. That is a NA body harness with powersteering that would be a issue on.

or simply disconnect the pump electricals, but then it won't work properly. as if they ever do.
