I'm almost sure there is no socket on a stock ECU. Thats why you have to send it out to be upgraded. Look around for ECU upgrades, no one sells just the chip, because it needs to be soldered. I guess if you have a lot of faith in your self with a soldering iron, you could attempt it though. Someone will confirm this i'm sure.

Better be carefull. I know someone with a T2 that bought that, and it screwed up his ECU and he had to buy a whole new one! Maybe you should call corksport and look at the EL Prototypes ECU, or just save and get a WOLF 4.0, its the best.

No, you don't get the point.&nbsp Anyone with a couple hudred dollars worth of EPROM reading and burning equipment can replicate these chips.&nbsp I put a whole rant on supporting the industry versus trying to get cheap - you're only shooting yourself in the foot if you take the cheap route.&nbsp Yes, it's very tempting, but I'd like to think most of you have enough strength to resist the cheap temptation.
