Knight sport Turbo spec/description

Hi all,

I just got a Knight sport turbo on a used JDM engine and sadly, I dont read japanese so their website is no help for me. Also, search fuction gave me nothing. What kind of turbo is it, T04? I hear it uses a T04E compressor wheel, is that right? How much hp is it good for and how much PSIs can it take reliably?

Spec.

I'd be curious as well, I have one but with a damaged compressor wheel that needs to be replaced >.< The previous owner made 300whp with a street port @ 9psi from what I remember

Only 300-350whp? Wow, turbo seems a little big for these numbers. Hot side is a lot bigger than a BNR stage 2-3 and the cold side is a bit bigger also. I just called at BNR and they have no idea. They think it might be a T3/T4 setup...

Anybody else got info?

The hotside is bigger? So it doesn't have the stock turbine housing then (non-hybrid)?

From what I've seen, the Knightsports hybrids are very similar to the BNR stage 2. T04b compressor housing & either a T04b v-trim or h-trim compressor wheel.

yep! the pics the the JDM rx7 mag's are all hybrid stockers.

i can't recall which wheel is in there, but i do remember hearing that they went to a smaller wheel, as it offered either more power, or a better powerband (probably the latter)

if the hotside is "bigger" are you comparing s4 and s5? or maybe its a full T4 as they would have sold those as well?

I'll take pics of it besides a BNR stage 2, it'll be a lot easier for you guys.

I run a Knight Sports turbo on 2 of my 7's. I can't remember the exact specs for it at the moment but I'll get them for you being I bought it from a friend stationed in japan that speaks english. He just went down and bought it new for me. I do know on my TII that I have it on with a FMIC, 800 secondaries and 720 primaries as well as the full apexi FC exhaust and a Rtek 2.1 and a few other things with 12 psi wasted depending on temperature, it puts down 347 to the wheels and it will build boost at 2400 rpm and detonate if I'm not carefull. So the turbo is pretty good imo and spools really quick. Seems like they know their stuff over at Knight Sports

Did anyone get the exact specs on this turbo? How about maximum boost and power output?
