Lightbulb keyways : how to

okay i found this out when putting the front cover back on. many times when assembling everything in the front cover, you may get stopped by those frustrating keyways. they keep slipping out! this is a method that is almost perfect i think. i tried it and got the oil pump gear on FIRST try. okay, so take a lil bit of glue i mean barely a drop. pref. high temp glue (i used epoxy). place it in the key way slot. next, take the key and place it in to distribute the glue around. after that, take a q-tip and simply touch the inside of the way. the small amount of fibers with lock the key into place. it should be snugger then bug in a persian rug. try at your own risk, becuase i dont know if its bad putting glue in the key way. seems ok tho.

let me know how it goes!

Recently, for some reason I had trouble getting that oil pump over the keyway and did the same as you did. Used a drop of Eastman 910. Can't, won't hurt a darn thing.

Remove the 4 bolts on the oil pump and leave the pulley on the front...
Don't have to mess with that stupid key.
