curious about a noise

curious about a noise

i drive a 91 rx7 and when i let off the clutch pedal in first gear i hear like a screach noise not a grind or scratching just a screach. latly its been doin it when i downshyt and shift normal but only wen i let off clutch pedal. could it be i need a new clutch?

If the noise goes away when the clutch is pressed in its the pilot bearing.

If the noise starts when the clutch is pressed in its the throwout bearing.

like a whineeee noise? I have that to and my trannsmission feels fine and ihave a 6 month old clutch...

actually the noise happens wen i let off clutch for like a momment and then its normal
