Keep Cosmo pump or jump to Walbro?

So I recently bought a Walbro and it arrived today. I figured I'd replace my stock pump with it and then buy some injectors while I wait for the Rtek to show up. Today I also happened to call ricks rotary to get my car's service record faxed to me. Lo and behold, the fuel pump was upgraded to a Cosmo pump 30k ago. From what I remember the cosmo pump is also a decent pump and puts out around 240-250lph. So first line of business would obviously be to rewire my pump regardless, but should I swap out the cosmo for the walbro? Or should I resell the walbro and spend that money elsewhere, like on injectors? My HP goals are probably around 300 somewhere, so I'm guessing (not sure) that either pump should easily support my application. Oh well dunno, confused. What do you guys think?

30k in your car and it was a used cosmo pump when installed in your car.

That thing is so old it literally could have given birth to you or atleast pumped you out of the womb

Sell the cosmo pump, then you get a new part, and someone else gets JDM gold!

If it was a new cosmo pump that was installed then it is MORE than adequate for your HP goals. How much did they charge for the pump? That would tell you whether or not it was new or not.

screw the walbro. Denso pumps are more reliable (for instance, they can stand up to a Kenne Belle boost-a-pump better, not that you are going to need one), and the Cosmo pump should flow about the same. http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm

Because nobody in their right mind would waste their time doing that. I mean, I guess it's possible but it seems unlikely.

the 13b cosmo pump should be equivelant to the FD pump which is still an improvement over the FC pump. If it was new I agree a new denso pump is far better than a walbro. But with 30,000 miles on the clock and the small price tag for the pump installed (talked to OP in AIM) it is was without a doubt a used cosmo pump from Japan. Who is to say if it was 20b or 13b but to be on the safe side I say use your walbro. If there is a problem they have customer service in english!
