Question Kaminari Bumper

So I'm going to post this one last time. I'm desperately looking for a Kaminari rear bumper/skirt for the '86-'88 Rx-7s. Kaminari has long since stopped producing this piece so I'm hoping that one of you guys can help me. Please if you have one for sale or know anyone who might let me know ASAP. Heres a pic of what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance!!

They've still have that picture and a price list on their website. Or do they only sell the full kit?

DroptopRX7-

The mold for the rear bumper was destroyed in a fire they had at their warehouse like 6-7 years ago. They still sell the front bumper, rear wing, and side skirts but no rear bumper.

Thank you. Show you how on top of the situation I am. 6-7 years ago? Yech. They really should amend the photo. Their prices are high enough.

No big man. The only reason I know whats going on is because I've been looking for this bumper for quite some time. I wish I knew somebody with one so I could get a new mold made. All would be good then!!

I didn't even think of that. Someone give him the piece so he can make a new mold!!! I have always wanted that kit but figured it useless if I could not get the rear. Somebody should take one for the team and get a mold made.

I thought that deal with the rear not being available anymore was true too. But I'm not so sure anymore. Nopi just added that kit to their website a couple months ago. I've never seen it on there before that and I've never seen it in one of their magazine adds. But they only sell the whole 4-pc kit.

Ok, so no dice on NOPI.
Now isn't Kaminari a German company? Seems I've seen their stuff around forever. Do they have a headquarters where they've got some information on the mold, like who made it originally, that kind of information??

I looked all over the net and couldn't find any overseas company info for Kaminari. I think Freeway is right, our only hope is to find someone whos willing to have a mold made of they Kaminari bumper. Anyone?!!?

I'm sure that if someone was willing we could have it made and send it to kaminari and they would make a mold so they could start selling those kits again. Hell, with a group by I'm sure we wouldn't mind throwing a little extra money in to get whoever's bumper repainted if need be.

I have the full Kaminari 86-88 kit, However the one piece that I did not like was the rear skirt. I sold it, for several reasons. First, it did not look that good on the car. If you have an exhaust with large cans it will not fit. Kaminari did an "ok" job with the construction. However, it did not fit as tight as the front and sides. I would give up your search for it, as it is not that great. It is actually best that the mold went up in flames. Let me know if you have any questions or if you want to see the front and sides on my RX.

I actually have that full Kaminari kit on my 87 TII, well at least I did untill I hit a 40 pound raccoon at about 95 mph, so the front air dam went bye-bye (as did the poor raccoon!) But I still have the rear piece and the side skirts on there, and I MIGHT could be persuaded to take it off and let them make a mold of it. If someone can get in touch with them and find out how long they would have it, etc and let me know then we can go from there. I think it would be fair if I could get one of the new rear pieces from the mold to replace my used one. After all, they have to try out their new mold anyway. And I can fairly say that I would be willing to do this for sure if they throw a new front piece in the deal. After all, they get to sell complete kits again, so I think it is only fair that I should have one! Anyway guys...let me know!

DAMN! I just realized I have the EXACT same set of Momo wheels as the black car in the picture as well! My car looks just like that one except it has a different rear wing and its red. Anyway, the thing is, 3 of the glass center caps with the Momo logo are missing. If anyone knows where I could finds some of these, PLEASE let me know!! Thanks again

I don't have pictures of the fromt, but go my webpage at http://www.geocities.com/nathandarby/Automotive.html and click on the link for the RX-7 and it has a nice rear 3/4 view of my car and you can see the sides.
