Well, I do know that you CAN appy for a title if a car is not registered as "stolen".

Perhaps, they can even find the old owner, he/she can get a new title, and sign it over if you dont find it.

Rotaryresurrection has helped countless people on this board, including myself and I dont see why you would need to give someone a hard time for trying to offer you his HELP.

to me that seems like calling 911 and talking **** to the operator.

just my 2 cents
I guess what I meant to say was I was kidding. Im not here to try to be a dick to anyone. If thats how it came across, then I apologize.

Anyway, I have been working on the car here and there, but my job is demanding and I dont get to go out to the car often. I will be working on some rewiring soon. I still need to find if these parts are anywhere in the car (if mine needs them):

(Friend's NA rx7 in pic)

my strut tower has none of that.

BTW, why dont you just sell all of your Del Sols except for the JDM one, and the truck, and blow all the money from that into the FC?

Because of the wiring problems, I would do a strip/restore/repaint/new wiring project on this one. I mean, just take everything out, make the body/suspension perfect, then put a rebuild in there, and wire it up with only the nescesarry wiring for all the lights/switches/ etc. and a standalone system will all new sensors.

That way, you will pretty much have a brand new car in terms of "insides and body" Just will need to get the interior right!

I sold my turbo del sol and gray daily driver sol (stock) to pay for the Stock SIR transtop. I also sold the truck and bought a new computer monitor http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...7/DSCN1251.jpg (and some extra stuff for the del sol sir (cost a bit to insure/inspect/register a car from japan, plus there were plane ticket costs and such to get it)

I was impressed with the condition of the interior on the rx7, my 86 corolla was in good condtion but alot needed to be replaced/fixed.

Usually on del sols the door panels rip/crack just from being old

there was all kinds of random stuff in the back, new pads, new lug nuts, new pack of razors, etc...

this was in the glove box

other than missing a stereo, seems to just need a good detailing

this thing has been in storage for years...

I think you should just download the PDF formatted Factory Service Manual (FSM) for the RX-7, or even buy a Haynes manual and then browse the FAQ's and archives to help you get better acquainted with these cars. The SEARCH function will also be a great help to you as a n00b.

Agree, thats why I dont really get out to the car much as well. I want to have a decent understanding before I start tearing into it. Just reading up on those pdf's for now.

Got the wire harness halfway in, wasnt sure if it routed along the firewall or down the strut tower, the manual wasnt too clear on it, but some engine bay pics look like it goes down the strut tower and crosses to the engine around the turbo intake side. My question is, are the injectors keyed? What is the firing order? I read through the fsm but the pics arent very clear on this (dont really like these drawings, not too clear) I havnt gotten to try pluggin these in, but wanted to see if there is any common knowledge order for the injector clips first. Still waiting on the next nice day here to get some work done on it. Theoretically 1 more day of work should get the car running. Intake mani needs to be put back on, wire harness connected and it should be ready to fire up!

I a not sure what you mean by firing order... If you mean it like it means on a piston engine, it is: rotor 1 - rotor 2 - rotor 1 - rotor 2, etc.

The leading plug fires first, then the trailing plug.
L1 (leading coil, rotor 1) connects to the lower hole of the front rotor L1: remember as - Lower of rotor 1
T1 (trailing coil, rotor 1) connects to the top hole on the front rotor T1: remember as - Top of rotor 1.
L2 is lower back and T2 is top back.

The injectors are keyed.

If the clips are intact, you should be able to slide them on the injectors without any effort at all (its removing them that is unpleasant).

I own an NA, but from the times I have seen a T2 engine bay, it sticks in my mind that the harness is routed similarly, along the shock tower and up behind the alternator.

I am glad to hear of your progress with this car.

Good Luck.

Next issues:

I seem to be unable to find where a few vacuum hoses go. I have checked several manuals including alldata and cannot find where the vacuum lines off the throttle body go. there is a solenoid on the firewall side of the TB but I cant find diagrams where they go.

my other issue is that the wire harness I got has 5 clips for the solenoids that are located under the oil fill tube. they are color coded clips and the solenoids under the fill tube have a matching colored dot, I have connected the three clips to their coresponding colors but have two spares (think they were black and white left over) im guessing its not the exact harness for my car but wondering if it will still work. What motor has 5 of those solenoids under the oil fill tube?

I been trying to get a local rotary expert to look at it and hopefully take on the task of finishing it up, but so far, not able to contact him...
