K2RD Susp problems!

K2RD Susp problems!

i installed the K2Rd Susp coilover set up, GC Coilovers, Pillowball mounts, and AGX 8 way adjustables. i get a loud clunking sound if i hit any small bump. it chatters almost, and i have the car set at the stock level.. any ideas? thanks

Set at stock level with that stiff setup? (I have the same one)

Yeah, check that everything is tight. Check that your diff mount isn't broken too... though the diff mount usually makes itself known when accelerating, not on bumps...

some noise is kinda normal with sleeved coil overs...

comon thing to do is wrap duct tape around the shock where the sleeve sits to make the sleeve tight against the shock.

I have the exact setup, I did the duct tape wrap and it works! Mine was makeing the same sound you described. Your best bet is to go with the duct tape!

well i have duct tape around them.. but maybe its not enough they aren't lose.. but maybe u could make them tighter.. my only idea is maybe one of the 2 washers is in the wrong place..???

Someone post pics of this, I can't picture where the sleeve would go.

I've got GC coilovers on non-adj tokicos, but the only noise they make is when I bottom out or the hatch pops when I hit a hard bump.

BTW - I think coilovers can be soft as a regular spring/strut setup, but mine must be for racing only.
