K2RD blockoff plate doesnt fit..or am i missing something?

I got an electrical OMP blockoff plate from K2RD, the plate is nice, and the holes fit..but there is a space where the plate doesnt completely cover the upper left part of where the OMP sits and it looks like there is a hole there going into the front cover. It completely covers the bottom oil hole.

Shed some light?

um there shouldn't be ANY extra holes. except maybe you are confusing the bolt holes for something else.

If you have a bolt in all 3 holes, then don't worry about it. K2RD made it like that for a reason. I'd imagine it has something to do with a vent, so the oil that goes into the pump cavity isn't pressurized. But it still should do what you want it to do.

BTW, are you going standalone? Otherwise, you have to keep the electric OMP.

You can still block it off and tie the pump to a bumper or something. The ECU doesnt know its not actually doing its job anymore.

alrite, so the little space thats uncovered is supposed to be there. Yeah, im going to premix. When i opened up my housings on my rebuild i dont think my OMP was doing as effecient of a job as it used to in oiling. Im premixing for now and tying the OMP to the strut tower wall.

I just didnt wanna turn the engine on and spew oil all over the place on all my nicely cleaned parts.

i would keep it, since it won't hurt anything. When you hit the track or hard fun sessions, add some premix. I really would keep it. I pre-mix because i have an E6K.

Well if everyone elses is like this, it kinda makes me wonder. I also try NOT to use JB Weld when I dont have to...

So does anyone with these plates have problems with oil leaking?

mine doesn't leak, and the OMP had that gap in there too! Use some good RTV, or make a gasket, something abestos based. you can buy gasket material at NAPA or similar stores.
