Arrow Just swapped s5 vert motor into s5 coupe. Wont run. What is this wire?

Hey guys,

I did the swap from the s5 vert into my s5 coupe so I can sell it. I connected everything like I was supposed to but there are a few issues I am having.

There is a small difference on the ECU as the coupe has a n351 whereas the vert is an n352. This is no problem as it seems from searching on it.

However I have found this wire which runs through the engine bay and disconnects near the ECU. I assume this is the cruise control wire and it looks like it went to the relay in the engine bay on the ver as the coupe does not have cruise control.

Can you guys confirm for me?

now I also have another problem when I try to crank it up. It turns over fine but it seems like it isnt getting any fuel. I put gas in it and also noticed that the injector plugs kept clicking over and over rapidly. There is something that is missing that I didnt do that is obvious and I cannot figure it out.

Here is the pic of what is making all of the clicking.

those things in the picture are vaccum solenoids. Check to see if you are even building fuel pressure, then if you do, check to see if you are getting spark. Also make sure the plug on the front of the afm on the bottom of the airbox is plugged in.

Do you have a spark plug wire off at the coil?

They will make a clicking noise which is really an arc jumping from the coil to the body

The blue-wrapped harness with the red and blue connectors in the first pic connects to the Antilock Brake unit on cars that came equipped with it. The connectors on the other end of the harness (next to the ECU) are supposed to connect to the ABS control unit. Your car doesn't have ABS so these connectors aren't used.

Check to make sure all your grounds are there and clean and tight. Is the ground wire from the firewall tab to the top of the tranny connected?

they could be clicking because they are bad or getting a bad signal.
Logically speaking when a solenoid clicks its because its not functioning or getting a signal it does not agree with.
