Just picked up a TII that was in a field 5 years

I replaced a bad fuel pump (Walbro) , and it starts and dies after running for a second. I am not sure where to start. Ideas??

if its been sitting that long, prob is a little low on compression. I bought an 87gxl that had been sitting for a year that had similiar probs. Put a little atf or MMO in it.

I had to outboard power to the fuel pump to get it to try and start (No power at the fuel pump). The tank was almost empty and I added about 4 - 5 gallons of fresh fuel.

Where is the fuel pump test plug?

how much did you buy it for?
maybe you should replace ALL the fuel lines and check all the vaccum lines while your add it! It could even be really dirty injectors, put some STP fuel injector cleaner in your tank and try to keep it running for a little while!
