just installed my boost gauge in pod...question ????

i got an autometer boost gauge, the ultra light series, I dunno what everyone is talking about, but I love it and it seems to work great... anyway, the white hose that comes with it wasn't long enough to reach the nipple on the intake. I had to get another piece of hose...however its sealed fairly good.

my question is that I have thate nipple thats right underneath the bac valve, i read if you have that , its the best place to put it....

since im running it there, should I disable the hose that comes out the pressure sendor or boost sender?? or does it still need to be hooked up?? basically is it alright to not have a hose running to the pressure sensor, i drove around for a couple miles with the pressure sensor hose caped off, didn't seem to be a problem with me...

???

im working on getting those pics of the pod....

You need the boost sensor connected as its used by the ECU to compensate for boost (probably both timing and fuel). Without it your asking for trouble. T your gauge in.

They are not as acurate as other Japanese gauges. The needle never rests at the same place when the car is not ON, meaning that 0 to the gauge is not acurate. They are fine for most peoples use, and are still better than the stock ones.

Just T it into a manifold connection that provides pressure. They are all alike as far as reading pressure. It can most easily be T'd into the stock BOV line, or into the boost sensor line. Either work the same.

DO NOT disconnect the boost pressure sensor. That can cause your engine to overboost.
