just installed c's short shifter

just wanted to say that c's did a frickin awsome job designing these. no rattles, perfect fitment, and works AWSOME. i am very happy i purchased on of these.

only thing i can say that feels a little undesirable, is getting into reverse. its quite stiff. has anyone else encountered this, and possibly found a fix?

thanks!

How many of those shims or what ever you want to call them did you use? Mine came with 2 so i put them both in and it was really stiff so i took one out until everything got worked in then i put the 2nd one back in and its perfect.

ummm.. u meen the two thick metal peices? - yeah i put them both in.. if u put only one in it would change everything.. i think it will just take a few days to work itself in.

but its frickin awsome.. kinda like driving a different car. .. once i get suspension done, it will be a whole different car.

Mines an Okada Engineering Short Shifter. Throw was decreased like 55%, but freakin stiff as hell on all gears. You need a buff right arm just to shift

I've got the mazdatrix one. I like it, but it's the only one I've tried. Way better than stock, and I like the crispness; it's a lot less vague. (and my stock shifter had good bushings, less than 2 years old)
