yeah there is ..........
Pull one of the (T) spak plugs out
pull the EFI fuse out
make sure the battery is charged
then crank the motor
You should hear (a Loud PFFFFT PFFFT PFFFT! sound ......cout 3 (if they sound even and strong) Ur motor is fine Is there's a missing one ......U have a bad apex seal or a stuck seal.....
Repeat that 4 the other rotor

ill try that

ill try that when i get a battery in it, it had been sitting for 3 yrs. but if worse comes to worse i can always do a jdm turbo swap, itll just be sitting a while longer. but its got 131,XXX on the odo so i dont think the engine is in terrible shape. i think it just needs the right owner (me) and helpers (you guys) imma get some before pics tommorow and then keep taking them along teh way untill i get her finished.

Get some new fuel in the tank and put some ATF in the motor Just in case theres a carbon lock and B/C it's been sitting 4 too long and the seals are not lubed

This is the first and only post you should have goten.

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/faq-fc-frequently-asked-questions-2nd-generation-rx-7-a-181219/

Oh and you use the L plugs when doing MMO and ATF stuff and compression.
Oh and ATF fouls your plugs unlike MMO so you will need another set of $25 plugs.
And a oil change if its flooded.
And new gas if its ben siting. Drain the tank.

Along with the full tune up. Its been sitting for too long, you dont wanna ressurect the vehicle into an old crippled state just to have it die again.
