Question Just got my s5 Jdm turbo, just a couple of questions

Hey i received my s5 turbo and mani yesterday from Fc3s.org. It was off a Jdm rx7 and seems to be in good order. But i really am not sure. I checked the turbine wheel and it has slight play like barley moving side to side. Is it supposed to have any play? It spins freely and moves very smoothly
My other question is weather or not i should get it rebuilt. I mean how much does this kind of service cost?

And lastly im going to port it, do you guys recomend any specific tools for this? Like is the Dremel good enough?

Thanks.

It was recommended to me that the dremel doesnt have enough power (even with the high RPM) to port it. The bits are fairly small and would imagine they wear out quickly. I used an electric drill with some quality bits. Came out well and didnt have to worry about the bits getting to hot or wearing out.

I used a dremel to port my wastegate. I went through about 6 bits total. It takes a lot longer than a die grinder, but it's doable.

It *should* have enough play that you can just feel it move from side to side, and no more. IF you can *see* it move, it's a bit too much, but useable. IF you can feel it wobble, it needs rebuilt. It sounds perfect, to me. Only on a super-low mileage turbo can you feel NO play whatsoever.

A dremel will work fine. I used a griding stone bit and it turned out good.
