just got my koyo rad

just got my koyo rad and everything looks great about it. Best money I've spent on my car yet however the only thing is when I put it in the original hoses won't fit do to it being thicker. What did you guys do? Just cut some off? Thanks

i dunno, mine went in direct fit you just have to figure out how to get the bracket on straight but you can even retain your stock fan shroud, i installed it on my 91 gtu. i got a new upper hose and yeah i had to trim it to fit

well actually if you get it from absoluteradiator.com they sell them with the fan shroud kit at no extra cost however I don't know if I got mine or not? I'm going to check the box again. Anyways the thing went right in after I took the side straps from the old radiator and put them on the new one (screws already drilled and tapped for old straps). So yes it bolted right up and looks amazing!

ps. they are the cheapest on the net at 295 plus shipping how can you go wrong.

pps. Thanks for the help everyone. I was wondering if I did something wrong.

oh yeah one more thing. Now with the new rad is there supposed to be two rad caps? I mean there is one on the rad and one where the stock one is so I guess there will need to be two? Strange.

geinn if you want it you can have it but I think its blocked somewhere and also has alot of bent fins so I don't know its up to you just pay shipping and it's yours. I was going to through it away anyways. Yes www.absoluteradiator.com is the cheapest and has really good service from my experience.

The Koyo is thicker but will fit in thw stock location with almost no fabbing.

I removed the stock rails and had to drill one side a little bigger so they woufl mount on but it was a 3 minute job and it was ready to drop in.

I had to trim my radiator hoses to get them to fit as well.
Now I have these damn leaks and it's pissing me off. I even double clamped them!!!
