check to see if your engine oil or tranny fluids are low. Then get under your car and see where its coming from, we can't do it for you.

s4 or s5?

If its an S4, it could be that your OMP controll rod is fucked up somehow, or that there are too many washers on it allowing it to regulate much more oil than necessary to the intake/housings. Thats the first thing that popped into my head.

Speaking as an s4 owner who has had leaks from the p/s pump and OMP block-off plate, as well as the oil cooler lines, lemme tell ya that you won't see so much as a puff of smoke from those locations if they have a slick of oil on them, no matter how hard you drive it.

The oil leak he's seeing on the driver's side of the bay may have nothing to do with the smoke.

Right now what he's decribing screams 'fluid on the exhaust' to me. I'm not saying that it *must* be that, but that that's the first thing I'd be checking out. The heater core has a hose passing right over the header. Adam -> how's your coolant? Is it full?

And check your tranny fluid. Pull the filler bolt on the driver's side of it and stick a finger in there. Did you get fluid on your finger? It's gonna stink, but what you're interested in is the colour/condition. Is fairly clear and like honey, or is it brown/black? Guess which one you'll prefer to find...

well its an Auto :| sorry to say. Not to happy with it, i checked it Awhile ago need to agian, the water level is fine I had a hose break on me here last month and that low water buzzer saved my behind! I then got all that fixed then ever since no water leaking, Never have to fill the water, But i allways seem to have to ad a few quarts of oil every 700 miles. So im guessing its an oil leakl, when the car is idling just sitting there it likes to smoke, when moving it seems to be ok, or i dont notice it anyways, i never really see a smoke trail behind me unless i am driving hard, I looked hard at the engine and dont see anything at all. It must be Hiding down low out of site, so the only way i might be able to see where it is leaking from is from under the car, But i dont have a Lift so that can be sorta hard to do,
