just done replacing the master cylinder- but....

I just replace my break master cylinder, I even bleed the breaks and flash out all the break fluids. But the break padel is still low and i have to push it very deep in order for the break to start grab. What could be the problem? air in the system? bad quality master cylinder? (from AutoZone) or something else is wrong?

Oh, and anyone here know what's the best method to bleed the break on FC? I have 4 pistons in the front. I used the old fashion way of my friend pumping the break while i open the bleed valve on the caliper. Any advise will help.

thanks

When you bleed the brakes your friend is supposed to hold the pedal down and keep it down. THEN you loosen the bleeder vavlve. When you tighten the bleeder valve then he can release the pedal.

Here are some instructions for bleeding on a 3rd gen. The procedure is the same for 2nd gen's: http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...eed_brakes.htm . You can also check out the link concerning speed bleeders. They can make brake bleeding helpful.

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?
I just got done bleeding the brakes on my 90 vert. I have never had to work at getting air out of a brake system. On the rear brakes there are two bleeders, one on top and one on the bottom. You are only supposed to have to bleed the bottom one if you are rebuilding the caliper. I didn't get good results until I bled both of them.
