Just changed transmission and I have a leak!

I just put in an 86 manual tranny into my 87 n/a manual. I put a new oil seal in (where the driveshaft goes into the transmission. I believe this is where it is leaking from. Im not sure, maybe I put the seal on wrong? Has anyone ever had this problem, or does anyone know how to correctly put this seal in?
Thanks

Installing the seal is not hard. Just drive it in even with the edge of the output shaft housing. Lube it up good, and use a piece of pipe the same size of the seal. Also, be sure to lube the end of the shaft to prevent damage to the seal when you install it.

Through the slits of the driveshaft (after installed) i am still able to see the seal. The seal is the same diameter as the output shaft. Is it suppose to simply slip over the drive shift and rest on the end of the output shaft or actually be driven into the output shaft?

Slits in the drive shaft? The yolk should be perfectly smooth.

The seal is to be driven into the output shaft housing.
