Just Bought My First RX-7 (pictures)

i just got home with my nice new 1987 FC3S Turbo II. its black and the passenger window doesnt open.
also the sunroof doesnt work...sounds like its off its track. (clicks).

the passenger window im not sure about because it doesnt work when i try using the button on either door....maybe its the motor?

it has an exhaust leak and the e-brake doesnt work.

i payed $4000.

it has brand new vented cross drilled rotors, and metallic ceramic brake pads. also a cat back exhaust, cusco strut bar, and Blitz Turbo Timer. it has HID headlights, and an extra driveshaft and LSD.

it also comes with a rebuilt engine from Japan Direct with less than 50,000 miles. the engine in the car has 109000 miles.

take a look at the pictures:

http://www.fortresshalo.com/wlan/gallery/RX-7

YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THESE BEFORE BUT I JUST PUT NEW ONES UP...PAGE 3-6 are all from 5-21-05

Did i get a good deal?

hm i think you got an alright deal, i didnt get a very good deal on mien i just got mine a few weeks ago and its been in the shop since day one because of time waiting for gaskets and valves to come to solve vacuum leaks but all i have left is my intake gasket to come in and she'll be running again i paid 4k for mine and all it had were those vac leaks and its got a rebuilt engine less than 10k ago and 180k on tranny and its got all the S5 body kit parts, racing beat turbo back less than 1,000 miles ago, and hks intake, and fcd. you seem to have gotten a better deal than me but i don't really mind this cars are really hard to find in virginia especialy fairfax. but CONGRATS MAN HAVE FUN WITH HER i'll probably have the same thread up for my baby when she comes back btw nice rims.

Do you have anymore pictures of the HID lights? Maybe its just your pictures but they look like regular halogen bulbs. I didnt see the HID ballasts in the engine bay but like I said, it could be the angle of the pictures. Do you have any pictures of the back of the headlight? Or maybe the wiring going to the headlight? Nice car btw.

i dont know. if you look at it there is a blue bulb that isnt on inside the lens. i dont know what it is but i cant get it to turn on. they look a little like normal headlights to me to but im not sure. they are plenty white for me either way so if they arent then oh well. ill get some more pics in a little while when i head out to go work on the exhaust.

those aren't HIDs then those are ebay special "HID" lamps, they are just H4 replacement housings with H4 bulbs. true HID kits cost upwards of $400, the knockoff HID lamps are $25.

nice car but as said i would have haggled with him, or maybe i just got an amazing deal. all that matters is that you are happy with the car.

im planning on doing autocross this summer or next depending on how much work needs to be done before its ready. ill go to the drags a little but id rather be taking turns than going in a straight line. havent really decided on upgrades as im a little short on money after paying for the car itself.
