I just recently bought a 88 gxl n/a. The car is in really good condition and appears to have fairly minimal mechanical problems AT THE MOMENT. The only problem I am having with it r ight now is the weird rough idle that comes and goes. I would say about 1/2 the time when i crank her up (regardless of cold temp or not) the idle plumets to about 200-100 rpm and stays here until then engine is minorly warm and it idles fine. After warm the idle will not return to this rough state until c ranked again. I have recently replaced the spark plugs and purchased some lucas injector cleaner about 2 days ago. I see in my repair manual that this idle problem could be 1 of about 25 different things. Any ideas on what i should check out first before i break something important going thru and checking these 25 things. Thanks a lot!
