Junk Yard Short Shifter Pics.

Please help me identifying this shifter.

I went to the junk yard this morning and came across a very short shifter intalled on an '87 n/a, What cought my attention at first were the shifter boots (like new) I needed to replace mine since they are all messed up ( I saved my self $50.00 at least compared to the price at Mazdatrix) as I removed the trim and upper boot I noticed the shifter was way to short, looks like someone tried to remove the shift **** and just beat the hell out of it.

I have no clue on what kind of shifter this is and I'll like to know if is ok to install it on my car. The total lenght of the shifter is 4 3/4" the bushings are on perfect condition. here is some pics.

its a stock cut shifter you can tell by the lower part of the lever it isn't a "real" short shifter, only a shortened length stock'er.

yup OEM....
if you are interested in saving some money on short throw shifter, get one from Ebay for Mazda Miata 90-97, it fits perfectly on FC's - with a little adjustment.
There was a thread few weeks ago about this.

$8.00 ... Like I said in the original post what cought my attention was the shifter boots they are almost new ( they are over $50.00 at Mazdatrix for the set of 3 ) I got them all plus the bushings... not a bad deal.

I've just replaced the bushigs and the boots and yeh.. it was a stock shifter they just removed the top part of it.

ohh, I thought you saved $50 off of the $170ish mazdatrix short shifter which ment you spent $120 at the junkyard. My bad lol, $8 is a sweet deal for the boots
