Jspec tranny question
Ok guys my tranny is having some problems. The 2nd and 3rd gear are grinding due to the synchro's going out.
I was thinking about getting it rebuilt but the price to do that is pretty bad $700+. So someone locally today pm'ed me that he has a 90 Jspec TII tranny with 40k miles on it.
My first question is and I am assuming that it will bolt up. Is this correct?
Second question I have, is there any difference between a jspec tranny and a us model?
3rd does anyone know a good place to get your tranny rebuilt or a place that sells good tranny's for our car? BTW I have a 1990 TII

I dont know if it will "bolt up" ... But I dont see why the gears would be laid out any differently on the inside of the transmission.
Another thing I dont know about is if the release fork is on the same side. On the US ones, its on the left hand side...I dont know if itd be the same for JDM because of the RHD and all...
